Yes. Its worth everything. I met my current girlfriend (phatstar is name on yahoo), and she lived and kansas and a week or so later she moved to florida. She started Cosmotology school so she was going to be there for 9 months or so. She was there and i was here (in iowa) for 6 months then she couldnt take it anymore and moved to iowa but we both understood that as long as we knew that it wasnt going to be long distance forever and you know its going to end sometime in the near future, then its ok. But I must inform you that its not going to be easy.

I am in a long distance realationship now and it is working our pretty good. Been together a year. As long as yall communicate well and have alot of trust it can work. It is not easy. Just take it slow and enjoy it. You get to see him as well as have your life outside of him. It has worked out great for me. Allows me to spend time with him and when we can't be together I take that time to spend with my family and friends. Good luck and sure it is worth a try. Who knows he may me " Mr. Right" You don't know unless you try.

How long have you known him? Is he worth the time you put in it?
Frankly, if you're asking people on Yahoo!Answers for something you should know, I'd consider leaving the whole thing as is.

unless you both had gone through tough experience (example, parents tried to broke you up or you both fall in love in the middle of war or just like titanic ) if not its hard.

No. No way. Absolutely, positively no. Did it. Didn't work. Just a heartache. How could it possibly work?

It's worth a try.

It's better than thinking "What if" all the time...

If it's meant to be, it WILL be.
