seeing as how islam seems to be stuck in the 12th century I'd have to say christianity but only by comparison.

The BNP leader made some good points regarding Islam. Christianity is a religion of peace, love and forgiveness, whilst, Islam is a religion of vengeance and jihad, the use of violence to spread the muslim faith. In Iran schoolgirls accused of having sex outside of marriage are publicly executed, they are hung from cranes. When was the last time a man quoted Jesus's sermon on the mount before killing someone, NEVER. However we all remember abu musab al zaqawi and how he beheaded the innocent, koran in one hand and sword in the other. Islam IS a violent religion, Christianity is NOT.

Islam has very strict rules on things like dress, beards, women's rights, etc. that have not changed in 1400 years (or ever little).
Christianity has less rigid rules in those area (dressing is to be "modest", same with hairstyle) so Christianty has often been better at "adapting" itself to fit the culture. They are not changing the gospel if they wear pants instead of robes, or shave.

Christianity has changed much faster as a result of exposure to things like the age of reason, compare Christianity of today to Christianity of the Salem Witch trials, Spanish Inquistion etc...

It seems Islam is stuck in time, and they are actually proud of that.
Look at how the men get dressed in the middle east, and how the women are still dressed. Look at their life style, and how they try to do and live as their prophet did 1400 yrs ago. They still want to live like him, dress like him, and raise their family as he did in his life time, and those who do not do that, they call them westernized.
Christianity has changed through time, and so did Islam, but some Muslims don't want it to change and want it to remain the same as it was hundreds years ago.

Islam has recently changed faster as new radicals have come to power, but this is not always the case. Look at the Spanish inquisition.

Sadly Christian extremists are more and more frequently using hate, intolerance, dictatorial behaviour and unacceptably breaching others human rites to live in peace in their own homes and businesses. One respected Christian organisation in the UK recently called for civil disobedience!!!
For a religion that started out with love and forgiveness the radicals, zealots and extremists are turning it into the nasty religion far faster than Islam can do it to Muslims!!!

Hard to say for sure really. How many different translations are there of the Koran vs the Bible? I know there's dozens of translations of the bible and something like 3,000 different denominations of Christianity. There are a few different denominations or secs of Islam, but I don't think it's in the thousands Islam is definitely growing faster than Christianity though. But I think what you're asking goes more along the lines of what has had more changes to the "original" and if that's the case, Christianity has definitely evolved farther from the original. Just going by the thousands of denominations and translations to their scriptures.

I think Islam is at the point Christianity was 600 years ago. Same speed, Christianity just had a head start.

I think Islam is way behind on the evolutionary scale. At least Christians dont behead people and riot in the streets over minor little insults and attacks on our religion. If we did the streets would be a bloody mess at Christmas.
