I am trying to learn Latin on my own using various books. There are a few sentences that I'm stumped on and I don't have an answer guide! Please help!
Difficilem artem libtertatis dulcis non intellexerunt, nam parvum sapientiae habuerunt.
Rex pecuniam dedit matribus quae multos filios habuerunt.
Pueros puellasque culpaverunt quibuscum fugerant.

1) They didn't knew (or haven't known) the difficult art of sweet liberty, because they had (hadn't got) a small intelligence (when you translate it literally).
2)The king gave money to the mothers who had a lot of sons.
3)The accused the boys and girls with whom they fled.
It may appear a bit weird, but I live in Belgium so my first language isn't English, so excuse me for the faults in the tenses (the first one is correct), but normally I only translate to Dutch : ) (I learn it at school)
