Dear Sirs,
I would like to know if it is at all possible to get US channels in the Southern Hemisphere, more specifically in Chile. There must be a way, since US Troops and US Embassies all over the world can watch US channels. Down here, DirecTv doesn't even offer NFL Sunday Ticket.
Please let me know if it is possible, and if so how. Do I need a US DirecTv/Dish account? If they cannot provide this, who can?
This is really important, since I know of more than one person down here interested in this.

Please let me know as soon as possible.
Best Regards

Where would I be able to obtain one of those big antennas?
I have tried internet webcasts and programs, and slingbox type connections, but nothing beats straight to TV channel availability.
I know you probably cannot get DirecTV or Dish because of the signal and the satellites, but is there an alternative for home users? It is really frustrating, because every show is delayed, they don't show NFL football, and they dub a lot of stuff. I cannot live like this.
HELP!

There are all sorts of programs that let you watch live TV over the internet. The only problem is that the quality is horrible and you need a fast broadband connection.

Otherwise they have devices called slingboxes or similar type devices that let you send live tv over internet. Those work great but you'd have to know someone in the US who would use their bandwidth to send it to you.

You can also get a Huge sattelite dish, (not a directtv small dish) but one of the bigger ones that let you recieve world wide transmissions.

That's about all I can think of right off the bat.

Probably not, every time I tried to order a satellite dish there was a tree in the way. Maybe that is just the standard answer of the satellite company to make you buy other equipment to tune in to their dish "up in the sky" . Now I am stuck with cable, the next time I move the first question I am going to ask is "Is there a tree blocking the southern hemisphere?".

You need a system like this to get the direct satellite video feeds.

I'm not into it, but there's lots of info on the internet about these kinds of systems.

I would find out what frequency (channel) the AFN (armed forces network) is located. In many places around the world it is broadcast over normal TV channels. CNN is everywhere.
