Who knows, their lives are empty and without meaning anyways.

Dirt. Nowhere.

Consider this: Where were you before you lived? Nowhere, that's where. So, logically, where will you be after you live? Nowhere, that's where.

Seems like a pretty easy enough idea to me! Oh, and we don't concern ourselves with the non-sensicalness of heaven and hell. Haven't you ever wondered about how heaven is going to be so perfect when you'll have people you personally know burning in hell? What kind of paradise is that?

If someone dies, he stops going anywhere. His conscious or unconscious being, his personality and so on ceases to exist, except in the memory of the people who knew him.
At least I have no reason to assume anything else. If a dead person contacts me (while I am awake, sober, and sane) and persuades me of the opposite, I will reconsider.

They get decomposed into the soil and used as nutrients for plants, hence being reincarnated in a perverse sort of way.

i am an atheist and can only speak for my self. i don't believe we go any where. we simply stop living. the energy that makes us up is then released back into the universe.

maybe they do not know, and are comfortable admitting that.

i think that's better than over 300 cults on earth (like christianity) that claim they DO know, when in fact, they do not.

claiming to know god and what god wants of people, and what happens to us after we die, is utterly ridiculous and downright stupid.

We usually take them to the morgue, then the mortician. Once it is decided whether they will be buried or cremated they go to the appropriate place.

They don't "go" anywhere they just cease to be. Prove you can think without blood to your brain and maybe then they might think differently.

The matter that made up your body when it was living isn't any different when you're dead. It's just that this matter does not constitute consciousness anymore.
