I have a Binatone cordless phone and everytime i pick it up when it rings it cuts off. I don't have the receipt but i have the packaging. I can't find the manual so what the hell can i do

change the batteries and compleatly re-charge the handset my phone used to that all the time and i found out it was because i was over charging it!

Difficult to say without inspecting it, but:

I take it the handset is completely lifeless when off the cradle? If so it could be that the battery in the handset is flat (or not fitted correctly).

Or, maybe you are disturbing the wiring (phone line or power) when you pick up the handset from the cradle. Check all the connections are sound.


Don't worry about not having the manual: you're probably not missing much! Might be an idea to keep looking for the receipt though.

I had a landline problem (turned out to be a microfilter), but a BT engineer who came said that cordless phones can throw up all sorts of problems.

Try taking it to someone elses house, and see if it works there.

it could be your PC filter mine was same,just try a spare filter in see if it works.
