There are no scientific studies for this new system updated to now. The only thing avaiable is the comment of some dentist (probably biased).
Well in the evidence based scale they worth less then nothing.

The idea of use a sort of system to mantain the drugs in the pockets isn't new and has demonstred some positive results. The biggest problem is that the plaque forms a biofilm that is almost impermeable to atiseptics. Studies demonstrated that for kill the microorganism in the plaque a concentration of at least 500 times higher then the one needed to kill them in a free state is necessary. This is why the first therapeutic act is a professional cleaning. The debriedment destroy the plaque organization and remove the batteria and toxins. Only after that local or systemic drugs are really effective.

I think (be carefull, is only a personal opinion as i haven't any data to support it) that this system could or should be usefull within a well structurated therapeutic plan while it'll probable achieve little or no results used alone
