If your best friend no longer wanted to be your friend, would you want to know why? Or would you just accept that it was their decission and let them go?

My best friend is a girl, who I am in love with, and I know that she loves me too. We had a small falling out, and during that time she got married, but now, all on her part, she is wanting to hang out again with me. Seeing her, and being around her is just to hard knowing that I cannot let her know how I feel. She ahs apparently moved on, but I have not. So rather than continue to see her and suffer my heartache, I am going to tell her that at least for a while we cannot see eachother. But I know that she is goign to ask "why", so do I tell her? Do I tell ehr that I still love her and that I cannot stop thinking about her? Or shoudl I just say I have some things to deal with and that I will still keep in touch?

Just wondering what all of you think? Thanx for your advice!

Dont come up with a fake reason, because it'll hurt her and she'll dwell on it and beat herself up over it. Try just saying you can't be around her because you have feelings for her you can't get over, and it's hurting you. If she doesn't understand, maybe it is time to move on.

I think that you should be honest and tell her your reasons for not wanting to be around her right now. I am sure she will understand. Maybe after you move on you guys can be just friends. I can say that it is hard to be friends with someone you love, but it is possible to have a platonic friendship.

Just tell het you don't feel it is a real good idea at this time--she's married and you respect that. Then let her go and move on. Find someone to love and who loves you back as much.

i would tell her why you can't be around her.... i had the same exact problem with a guy friend of mine. i had to tell hium that i liked him a lot and tell him i could be around him, because every time i looked at him it crushed me. he understood and that was like 2 or 3 months ago and i hung out with him for a couple of hours last week. it may work out it may not...good luck to you!

tell her you need a break and if she persists on asking why then tell her.... dont tell her right away cuz if she doesnt fell the same way and shes not willing to divorce and be with you, itll just be something else on her mind

Nope, she's using you as a rebound. Her marriage didn't work and you're like an old shoe and ready to be worn again. Move on.

Tell her, then leave her if it hurts so much. Just take a break. Then find her when you're ready.

Better yet - find a hooker who looks like her.... KIDDING!

If you really did that: ew.

Just tell her the truth. She should understand.

BE HONEST AND TELL HER... here is nothing more pathetic than a cowards way out that most men opt for- And she'll respect you for your honesty.
