This IS the greatest genocide in history and it was perpetrated by bloodthirsty Jihadists who were murdering for their savage Quranic vision of Allah.
Recently Mel Gibson released a movie called "Apocalypto" about the Mayans. In the beginning of the movie, he cites a famous historian by the name of Durant for persuasive appeal and credibility. This same historian, along with Gautier about, describes the Arab Islamic invasion of India as the greatest genocide in history, by far. Mind you, these publications were way before 911.
So, why do leftists dismiss this event? How is it that this doesn’t bear of Islam today or no one speaks of it? Staggering.

I like the site for its outspokenness, which the sham intellectual Hindus lack. Many of the protagonists of partition adverted to the diametrically opposite beliefs of Hindus and Muslims. I am not a student of Indian History. Whatever history I learnt tells me that the feud between Jaichandra and Pritiv Raj, the Hindu kings made them weaker and the day Prithviraj Chauhan lost the war to Mohammed Gourie spelled doom to the Hindus for ever. The floodgate had been opened with the death of Prithviraj Chauhan. I do not advocate that Hindus of modern times should treat the Muslims as their arch enemies. But, they must be on their guard. Take a resolve to protect their faith. Be entrenched in their faith. Rid themselves of the evils of caste and injustice to the oppressed class of the society. The teaching of Mohammed is based on monotheism. To consider that Hinduism is a polytheistic religion is a travesty of truth. They are ignorant about the theology of Hinduism. Hinduism believes in oneness of God but believes that God manifests himself in myriad forms. The diversity of God's forms is only because of the differing perceptions of the people.

Although I was aware of the killings I was not aware of it's numbers and so I think u for bringing that to my attention.
This is not something that should be ignored in fact I am surprised the present political team has not made use of it. Perhaps it would just cause more division, which is not going to be positive at this time or perhaps it would call attention to Gandhi which would point to yet another method of dealing with these power hungry people (merchants) They do not want to be attacked in His way because it is far too successful.

Leftists dismiss this event because they did not report it and so it is out of their hands, in turn out of their heads. Leftists believe that a left wing riding leader is justified in a war or in handling a situation with military force, but if a leader from a moderate or right wing accord would be dismissed as a terrorist or as a fascist. Leftist refuse to believe that they would not have heard of these actions, and you presenting these facts now would be labeled a racist because you are presenting information that is damaging to a religion that they hold strongly to as being one that is oppressed and not a religion that oppresses.

Surely, the Mughals were violent. Surely, they weren't perfect Muslims -- who said they were.
You want to see Muslims -- study the history of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his society.
