To me a man's age really doesn't mean anything to me - maybe its jsut that when the man is older they are wiser or as wise as you - you are more likely to get along with people your age or older, because supposedly they have better understanding. This could be wrong, because that could be an insult to other women who have younger lovers, possibly meaning they like immaturity or they are immature themselves.

Some women prefer older partners not because they can go longer....which is not always the case...generally it is because older men have grown up a little and are ready to settle down. Again that may not always be the case and you have to look at it on a case by case factor. There isn't anything wrong with have a partner the same age or close to your age. You both have to be on the same page as to what you want out of the relationship.

It is a fact that women mature faster then males (men is a very loose term these days).
A older man is more apt to be stable, and can hold a conversation past his penis. Older men in general (there are bad ones too) know what a women needs to be happy. Even the poor older guys lol!
Depending on age of course, when younger I was always board with guys my age. Nothing to talk about. Always wanting to do stupid wild things....Responsiblity for the most part was a foreign word...
A guy is not worth a hoot until late forties, to fifties....

My guess is that it's because older men have had a chance to get their lives on track and are more likely to have money. That and the fact that it's just gross for a man to go out with a significantly older woman. I think maturity is seldom the reason. Have a nice day!

It has to deal with a maturity issue. I used to only date older men but I have found maturity is not an age specific thing and the boyfriend I have right now is 4 1/2 years younger than me. He is the most wonderful person in my life. He is more mature then men that I have dated who would be in their 40's by now. I am 28 by the way. He has offered me emotional stability, is the best lover I could ask for and shared in responsibility with me.

Not all women prefer older partners. Most all of my boyfriends have been a little younger or the same age.

Same thing for men, some like younger, some like older. Depends on the person.

I agree with you, most women do. In my opinion it has to do with being financially sound and stable.

There isn't any reasons you can't get the same thing from a person of the same age or a younger one. It has more to do with personality I think. I have been perfectly comfortable with guys in their early 20s that had their sh*t together so to speak. As well as men of the same age. Age shouldn't have anything to so with it, most people are just shallow about that though.

Because males take longer to mature. Often seen in the animal kingdom. As primates get more sophisticated, their growth tends to take longer. Has to do with body hair presumably. So, in order of increasing intellectual sophistication:
- Brazilian Minito (thought to be the dumbest monkey, 4 inch tall, matures in 6 weeks flat)
- Javan Longtail Blinkard
- Capuchin
- Capuchin con Leche
- Baboon
- Ollagalla Baboon (a bit better)
- Highland Guerrilla (often jumpy, inchoate, disorganized, drinks way to much top quality highland coffee)
- Lowland Guerrilla (more of a go-getter, better at math)
- Orangupale (variety lives deep in the dark undergrowth, often suffers from forms of D-vitamin deficiency rachitism)
- Orangutan (smarter, dwells on treetops and so gets enough sun, and has stronger bones)
- standard Chimp (has little sex)
- Bonobo Chimp (has a lot of sex, much smarter, said to practice commercial sex as well)
- Homo Erectus (often arrested for lewd behaviour, almost extinct)
- Homo Neanderthalensis (votes GOP, almost extinct)
- Homo Sapiens (includes plumbers, televangelists, radar technicians, postal workers, car mechanics, opera singers, nurses, realtors, lap dancers, football players, dry-cleaners, terrorists, missionaries, etc.)

it's about maturity...
these days hard to find the young or the equal age guy who is acting mature...
most are not are not serious enough...
may be also the financial stability...not that we are crazy about money
or could be the experience that older ones have...
