It could be construed that way. Why risk it?

I would say do not do this. Hang a wreath on your door, put a Santa on your desk, anything but mistletoe. I am female and I would be not only offended, but a little intimidated by this. You would really be asking for trouble and a possible law-suit. Whether you kiss them or not makes no difference---with mistletoe, this is implied, which is still a form of harassment.
P.S. Why did you even consider this? Gotta wonder...

I would just think it is funny. As long as you haven't made an issue out of it, then I don't see the problem. Honestly, I believe 50% of those so-called sexual harrassment cases are just greedy women wanting to use the court system to be "victims" so they can get money and never have to work again. I can say that too, because I am a woman.

Put it on a wall, or not where someone will naturally stand and not notice it.
At motorolla you can be disciplined for open a door for a woman, they would roll out the shermans at your mistletoe in your doorway.
Do a cost/benefit analysis taking into consideration your local work culture, your future prospects for career advancement, and the hidden and nonhidden agendas of the women you work with.
With whom you work.

You may want to check this over with HR and your Boss to verify there is no work policies or codes this could break.
However, even if it is allowed, all it takes is for one of the women you work with to find it offenisive and then you are all set up for a lawsuit.
Best to avoid that and just stick to other allowed Holiday Decorations, if any are allowed.

its harrassment when you drag them to the doorway and shove your tongue down their throat. otherwise its just a decoration and anybody who goes through that door and know its there all the time wants to be kissed
why not play a joke and give someone lip stickers without touchig them. that way the whole office will have stickers on their face. that would make me laugh

Talk to HR OR your office mates! Unfortunately if you make one person feel the tiniest bit of harassment, they are "supposed" to go to HR to report you and then HR is "supposed" to talk to you about it. Um, do you WANT to kiss them? Maybe mistletoe is not the right approach.

I think it's fine as long as you don't make them kiss you. Try it, and if anyone has an issue with it, then take it down. Better yet, why not send an e-mail around asking what they think of the idea?

While I don't think it's a stand alone case, someone could possibly use it against you in the future as a part of a case. Basicly, if you have to ask, don't do it. Better safe then have that on your record.

Just be safe and do not put up mistletoe - it implies you are looking for kisses.

Only if you work with a bunch of uptight ladies. If you have a good relationship with your coworkers you should be safe, but expect them to feel uncomfortable, especially if you point it out.
