they get this tool that looks like a pair of pliers, well it's a clamp and they stick it in the vagina, and open the clamp thingy. it stretches the vagina apart. they take a q-tip and scrape the side of the vagina walls for a sample. the whole thing is pretty painful. sometimes they stick a finger or two inside the vagina to feel around for anything unusual. they also feel on the breast for lumps that are cancerous.
