it may be because you are dry. What you should do is let (him/u) play with it first. That way you can get all wet then it won't hurt as much, b/c it will slip in and out easily. Be careful though because it may feel so good that one day you will want to put something else in there (and lose ur virginity) but make sure you are doing it for the right reasons-not because it feels good or because you are curious-it's a big step and should be done with the right person-Good Luck

If you are worried or concerned or tense about it that can make the muscles tighten up down there and things can hurt, or not enough lubrication maybe? If it hurt the first time it may be you are tensing up because you think it is going to hurt and maybe you just need to chill out and not worry about it so much. If you think things are not quite right down there then you should see your doctor even if it is just to put your mind at rest. Good luck.

Well if your a virgin your not used to sex just yet and your first couple of times are going to be a little painful, takes a little getting used to. its not everyday you get a finger put inside you, so until you get used to sex period anything inside you is gonna feel a little awkward. now who ever is fingering you should do their very best to understand that you are not used to any type of sexual activity. tell them to take their time and go nice and slow with you. they cant just jump off in you and start banging away, it will hurt. you dont masterbate enough. your a virgin so your hole is still really small, if you masterbate more, with a vibrator, you'll get a little bigger and it wont hurt as much. try lube too, cuz if its too dry it'll hurt like a *****
