Hi,

If I purchase the software bundle package Adobe Creative Suite CS2 for my design company how many individual machines does the license extend to? Can I only put the software on two computers? Or is there even a limit?

I have look elsewhere on the net and can't find an answer.

Please don't suggest I just illegal download the software as being a legit organiosation that is not an option.

Adobe's applications won't let two computers sharing the same network, run the same licensed application at the same time. Unless you specifically bought a license for 10 (or more). I'm not certain on this but I believe it is licensed per user not necessarily per computer, so that if you want to install it on your desktop and a laptop that you use for travel than I think you're okay.

Unless you purchased a site license, you can only install the software on one PC. In fact, as Adobe has joined Microsoft in adding software activation, it you will be unable to install it on multiple PC. You can contact Adobe about a site license. It is often much cheaper then buying a second full copy of the software (all copmanies usually charge is what they would get in profit for the software, as they have no expenses). Howver, last time I check (about a year ago) adobe did NOT do site licensing for any of its software.

If you buy one copy of Adobe Suite CS2 you can put it on one computer. This information is available on the Adobe site and in your license agreement that came in the box or with the download.

All this is assuming you bought one package/copy and not an open license agreement. If you purchased a license package you would have received a copy of the agreement along with how many copies you can install.

I think that when you purchase it, you can load it onto as many machines as you wish so long as you use the license key which comes with it. We have a copy Photoshop, which resides on our server. If someone wants it on their computer, they download it from our server and install it on their local machine by using the same registration key which accompanied the original software package.

I'm not aware of anything which would prevent you from installing it multiple times on computers at your facility. There should be something on the Adobe site which would help you answer that question for sure.

You need to discuss your licence requirements with Adobe. Often when you buy software over the counter the licence only allows you to install on one or two machines. Normally you can purchase a licence to cover your requirements legally.

you should contact Adobe to find out how their site licensing program works. They would be able to tell you the maximum number of licenses for a 'site license registration' better than anybody here.

Sorry, just one. But if you contact Adobe, you may be able to negotiate a license deal.
