That is different for everone depending on your body mass... it's not cool and it can be extremely damaging to your body. I would have to suggest medical/emotional counseling as soon as possible. It is NOT a good way to lose weight.

Not eating is the wrong way to lose weight. You need energy to make your metabolism work, which makes you burn calories and fat. All not eating does is make you lose muscle mass, which hurts you no matter how thin you are. Not to mention, if you don't eat, your body will go into a starvation state, and therefore stop working properly. If you are a woman, which I suspect you are, that could mean you stop producing hormones properly. Your monthly periods will start to fluctuate and even stop, because your body doesn't think you are able to maintain a pregnancy. This is a very serious problem whether or not you want a child. It is your body saying you are not healthy enough to do what we are evolutionarily made for.
Just like over eating junk is bad for the heart function, so is not eating. If you remain anorexic, you can end up having heart failure.
Eat good food. Fruits, veggies, salads, etc. Exercise once a day. You will lose weight faster and healthier. Not to mention, you might actually live longer. Anorexia is a dangerous disorder and a dangerous path to put your life on.

I have battled Anorexis for 12 very long years and the time frames for everyone is different. I went for weeks eating a teaspoon of rice but then my friend died very quickly from it. I actually had two friends die from Anorexia and both went within a year. It depends on your body, it depends if you are doing other things associated with Anorexia besides starvation. In the 12 years I have been up and down but always under weight and know when I am hitting a danger point. Well I can not say for sure when it gets dangerous because most of the times it is problems you do not see or feel. A lot of Anorexics that die quickly die from heart failure. Your body goes into starvation mode and starts to eat itself. It eats you muscles as a source of energy to keep functioning. Your heart is a muscle and it well eventually it starts to damage your heart. Your electrolite counts go off and that also effects your heart. Everything depends on your body and for how long you have been doing this for. If I fell deeply back into my eating disorder I would die within a couple of weeks, just because my body is so weakened already. 12 years does a lot of damage that I can not ever reverse.
You should at least drink water constantly. Dehydration will kill you faster than starvation.

Hard question. I've been struggleing with anorixia for about 10 years. I have been hospitalized twice, have been to a inpatient rehab center, and had to give up my spot on the cheerleading squad my freshman year of college. Telling people that are anorixic to eat doesn't help. I have a degree in Kinesiology and I minor in health and I still have to fight it everyday. I have done so much damage to my body because of more poor neutrition. I have to treat anorixia as an addiction, its something I have to live with and fight everyday. While I'm at a healthy weight right now I know that I will have another episode. Get help!!!! This is a serious mental disorder. More people die from eating disorders than any other mental disorder

Please reconsider anoriexia as a weight loss choice. You cannot go without food for that long without getting sick. There have been a lot of models dying lately because of anorexia. When you don't eat you don't get essential nutrients that your body NEEDS to survive. Your organs will begin to fail and your immune system will fail as well. You will die if you continue down this road. If you think you can be anorexic for a little while and then stop...you could be very wrong. Once you get into the pattern your body will get used to it and you won't realize how sick you are.

Suggestion, do not go without food at all. Starvation diets never work in the long run. You will starve your body and will lose weight, but as son asw you eat, all of the energy in the food will be converted into fat. That is your body anticipating that oyu are going to starve it again and preparing for it. First, Eat multiple light meals a day if you are aiming to lose weight. You will lose, it just may be a bit slower. Second, drink the daily recommended amount of water (eight 8oz glasses a day), that will help you lose weight as well. Third, please see someone about your anorexia. It is a dangerous condition that could eventually, if it has not already, cause major damage to much of your body. Remember, you mistreat it and it will mistreat you.

well you're not technically anorexic unless you really are starving yourself. aw :( no one should call you fat though! what's your bmi? don't worry just love yourself. i know you might not like yourself sometimes, i don't either at times. starving is the unhealthy way and you can gain back when you eat again. exercise and maybe plan healthy meals. eat a small healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner maybe. sometimes i just eat dinner when i go to school and that's not good anyway like i said above but it can work. i heard eating many small meals in the day helps

the human body can go a day without water and 3 days without food typically...but if you want weight loss eat six small snacks daily. starvatioin is only temporary. You'll gain it back, plus you're losing muscle and energy. You'll become weaker. If you stick to exercise, six small snacks/meals a day and lots of water no sodas low carbs lots of fruit you can lose the weight healthy and keep it off.

You won't lose weight that way, you'll kill yourself. Your body can't lose weight when all the alarms are going off due to malnutrition.
Eat normally (go to a nutritionist and get a good, healthy diet to follow), exercise regularly and you'll lose weight in a healthy way.
Please check out the link I'm citing below as well.
