The front of the card, with the image should face the back on the envelope, so that the recipient sees the image when they open the flap of the envelope. The fold of the card should be at the top of the envelope.

The front of the card should face the back of the envelope so it doesn't show through the front - if you have a white envelope. Also if you hand write the envelope the imprint won't go through to the picture side of the card.

You are doing it the correct way. When the recipient opens the flap on the envelope, it will be facing them. When they pull it out, it will be in the correct position for them to open it with their left hand.
Also, if you put anything inside the card, it won't fall out.

The front of the card should face the back (folded) side of the envelope. When you open the flap you should see the face.

I learned how to do it the same way you are. I think this makes sense too because then the person sees the card when the they are opening and most people are right handed.

i think it is where the face of the card, is towards the part where it is sealed at, and the opening of the card is faced towards the bottom, so that they can read it as it is being opened, im not sure though.

the fold should be facing up and the cover of the card should be the first thing they see when they pull it out (if they open from back and don't just tear envelope).
