I have two cars under my name right now and am about to file the chapter 13. I want to keep them both as one if for me and one if for my fiance and she can't get a car under her name. Will they allow me to keep both cars?

No we can make the payments on the cars, we just need to keep them both as they are our only transportation. It's just they are both under my name so I don't know if they will allow me to keep two cars.

If they are both under your name,
sorry but you only get to
keep one of the cars. See if a lawyer
can work out somthing that you/she could keep the other car

I believe you can only keep 1 car under your name. If your fiancee wants to use the other car, you should have your fiancee purchase/refinance it separately and take it out of the bankruptcy proceeding.

Ultimately, this should also be discussed with the judge to see if something can be worked out. Judges are human too, so they can understand. You just have to explain your situation.

If you can't make payments on your cars, then sell them. check out www.daveramsey.com. He has a program called Financial Peace University that can help you from declaring bankruptcy. The bankruptcy will stay on your credit report for a long time, and make it harder to get a lone. Ramsey is not a scam. His methods work They are hard work, but can help you financially. Good luck.
