Aside from the Biblical definition, it is believing and then acting in harmony with that belief.

The Biblical definition is found in Hebrews 11:1 -- "Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld."

If we truly believe that God is, and that what he says is true, then we will be willing to do anything he requires, regardless od how little we understand it with our puny human minds.

That's a pretty broad question. Many people can have many faiths in many things. A faith in something bigger than them. Faith that their spouse will be faithful and true. A faith that miracles can happen, war will end, things will get better, etc (the list is endless) It what keeps us going, it's fundamental.

Overall though, faith to me is a belief and a hope in something. You can't have faith without hope and hope without faith, they kinda go hand and hand. Faith is used when something isn't tangible, can't be seen or proven, something that just has to be hoped for or believed in. Where knowledge is lacking or something can not be proven this is when faith takes over and is created. I can't prove or know with complete certainty that there is a God, one day there may be peace or that my husband will be faithful, I can only have faith (hope and trust) that there is a God, one day there may be peace and that my husband will stay true. Faith is what keeps us going through all of those uncertainties, without who knows what would happen or what the world would be like. (Scary thought)

But... that's just my two cents. Thanks!

There is a definition given in the bible.
Hebrews 11:1
Basically, it says
Faith is to be sure of the things we hope for and certain of the things we cannot see.
This is not blind faith.
Compare it to man going to the moon.
When the rocket takes off, it is not pointing at the moon.
The rocket is pointing to an empty spot in space.
However, because the subject has been thoroughly studied, scientists have conviction (faith) that as the rocket nears that spot, the moon will orbit toward it as well, and .....TOUCHDOWN!
That's because faith is based on knowledge, not blindness.

Faith is honoring who I have become - including the right choices and wrong choices - and being honest with that.

Faith is the excuse for ignorance. If ignorance is bliss, Christians (and other religionists) must be having never-ending explosive orgasms.

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."

It is everything to me, it is belief in the One who loves me best.
