It is 3 and a half months old and I really cannot tell if it's a girl or a boy. Do you know of any way to figure out the sex of a kitten? Thank you for your answers!!!

It looks like it has small developing testicles, but the people I got it from said it was a girl. I am confused. How can I tell?

Your vet will be able to tell! It is very important that you take your cat to the vet for all of his/her shots and for a physical.
Here is a site that show pics of the anatomy so you can tell the difference http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/kitx.html

Cat can be difficult - some young males develope late and some have their testicles recessed inside for months.
It can be difficult to tell the difference in male and female kittens. They are sometimes described as the male looking like a : (colon) and the female looking like an upside down exclamation mark.
2)Checking the sex of a kitten is easiest when they are first born since there is no hair covering their sexual organs. When it has grown fur it can be difficult to tell the difference between a male and a female because the male doesn't have a penis that hangs externally, it stays inside it's body until it mates with a female. Once it becomes over 10 weeks old you can determine its sex by measuring the distance between it's anus and it's sexual orifice. Males will have a longer distance than females; also males will have a round sexual orifice while females will have a slit-like sexual orifice.
Usually there is a bigger space between the anus and genital area in a male kitten - the space where the testicles will grow. It may be possible to feel small testicles in male kittens.

Good luck. From your description sound like you got a small tom cat on you hands......

I have 2 1/2 mth old male kitten. And it is obvious hes a boy! You can see his developing testicles and his urethra in the front of them and his anus is in the very back right under his tail. It really isnt hard to tell the sex of a kitten, a female has nothing back there but a slit and then her anus. So sounds like whoever told you hes a her is wrong. Good luck.

It's not hard to turn the girl next door into a sex kitten, so I would choose both because ultimately they're the same thing.

Well if it looks like at the cat's bottom is a ! it means it's a girl if if it looks like it has below the cat's below the cat's anus, there are 2 little dots below it, it's a boy. You want to get the cat spayed or neutered at about 6 months old, male cats will spray if you do it any later on and also the female cat will at 5 or 6 months old
go into heat and drive you nuts, she'll howl and roll around on your floor and put her butt in the air and will try to get outside any chance she gets.

You may have to wait till it's a little older... it is quite difficult to tell on young cats sometimes. Or ask a veterinarian.

look from their private part. If it's a male then it has like a bump. If it's a female then her part is plain.
