I've currently been having some bad anxiety attacks (holdiays maybe) wondering if I can take OTC stress tabs or something similiar to help allieviate these attacks?

After working in the area of mental health for 12 years, I would not recommend getting any OTC medications. Talk to your doctor if you require additional medications to help you through the holidays with your anxiety attacks. It is not safe to mix the OTC medications with prescription medications, it can be dangerous for you to do that simply because there is no indication how your medications will interact with the OTC drugs or the ingredients in them. Better to be safe than sorry!! Try some relaxation exercises and deep breathing to relax over the holidays and talk to a counsellor. Good luck, hope you have good holidays. Take care

I recommend nothing over the counter. You may want to see your doctor and get a prescription for xanax or ativan to take only when needed for anxiety. With all these meds no alcohol and no driving. be careful. See if you can get and appointment so you can just talk about what is bothering you before turning to drugs. Happy Holidays and remember 'and this to shall pass'.

I wouldn't recommend it but if you really want to you could just ask your doctor before you take anything just to be on the safe side. Good luck.
