Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians; they teach that Christ was and is divine and of the same nature as God. They do not believe that Jesus is without beginning, and the Scriptures do not teach that.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!

Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

We do not reject what Jesus was, is, and continues to be.

Prov. 8:22, & 30, Jesus was created, and is Jehovah's master worker.

John 1:1-4 Jesus was with Jehovah in the beginning and everything was created through him.

Col 1:15, Jesus is the image of God, first born of all creation.

2 Cor 4:4 to believe Jesus is greater than an image is to believe the lie of Satan.

Rom 15:5,6, who did Paul and Jesus say about who is God?

Rev 1:6, Rev 3:12, 14 John and Jesus didn't believe Jesus is God.

If Jesus, John, Paul, Peter (1 Pet 1:3) didn't believe in the trinity, why should we?

=== Edit ===

Every bible student knows that "I am" is a poor translation of the Hebrew at Ex 3:14.

A better translations is : "He causes to become, or I shall prove to be"

In the Greek Septuagent at Ex 3:14 it reads "I am the being" with "the being" corresponding to God's name, and not "I am".

Greek like Spanish has implied pronouns.

Estoy, is I am
estas/ esta, is you are / he is
estamos, is we are.

So the NWT is not adding [he], but is accurately translating the greek.

Catholics believe there is one God, but with three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). All I know about Jehovah Witnesses is that they believe that Jesus was Michael the Archangel.

Catholics Believe in the Trinity and the Divinity of Christ. JW's do not.

Distinctively, Catholics believe that Jesus is GOD while Jehovah Witnesses do not believe so.

The Trinity can be clearly seen when Christ said: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit" - Matthew 28:19

So, God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are equal because they all have one name.

One example is John 5:1-18, where Jesus cures a man on the Sabbath. The Jews became angry because Jesus "worked" on the Sabbath, and in response Jesus said, "‘My Father has kept working until now, and I keep working.’ On this account indeed, the Jews began seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath but he was also calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God" (verses 17-18). Only God can be equal to himself, and this passage therefore shows that Jesus is God.

For example, Jesus speaking in John 8:24 says, "Therefore I said to you, You will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am [he], you will die in your sins." Notice that the NWT has added "he" in brackets to obscure the fact that the Greek words here are the words for "I Am." ("He" is not present.) An identical situation occurs at John 8:28.

As any Bible student knows, "I Am" corresponds to Jehovah or Yahweh (cf. Ex. 3:14:"God said to Moses . . . ‘Say to the people of Israel, ‘I Am has sent me to you,’" RSV).

Catholics believe in the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Jehovah's Witnesses believe only in God the Father - they do believe Jesus was God, nor do they believe in the Holy Spirit.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the divinity of Christ. They call him a spirit -son and state that he is like an Archangel.

JW believe it is Satanic. They are not taught to believe in the Holy Trinity.

Catholics believe all 3 are persons.
That they are co-equal, co-eternal and co-powerful ....and all inhabit the same body.
Witnesses believe God and Jesus are 2 separate individuals and God is above Jesus.
To them, the Holy Spirit is a force, not a person.

There is no difference between Christians. JW's are not Christian though they claim to be and do not believe in the divinity of Christ.
