First think about why you want to get a tattoo. Is it to symbolize a specific event or person in your life? Do you want something that is just for yourself or do you want it easily viewed by others? Remember, they don't just wash off if you don't like it. Think of why you want a tattoo and then decide the kind of tattoo. Flowers? Butterflies? A symbol? I personally have looked into a small tattoo of my zodiac sign, in a place where only I (well, and my man) will see it on a regular basis. Good luck!

You shouldn't be thinking ABOUT getting a tattoo until you've decided what you're going to get and where you're going to put it.
And don't take advice from complete strangers on the internet about what you should get.
It's going to be on YOUR body for the rest of your life, so pick something that has meaning to you, something that makes you happy, something you just like... but don't get a tattoo just to GET one.
They don't come off.

If you don't know what to get, then don't get a tattoo. Tattoo's are body art worn by the wearer because it has significant meaning to them. Get a piercing in the meantime and try that for awhile. You'll come across something one day that you'll love and have to have as a tattoo. I'm speaking from experience, just don't rush into it!

I,m sure he would be honoured, but do you really want a tattoo? They're kind of permanent, and if you change your mind later, incredibly difficult/painful to remove. I saw a girl at the checkout the other day with blotches all up her arm where she'd had tattoos removed, and it didn't look good. Think again! Hope this helps.

I can't tell you what to get but I can give you some advise.
DO NOT just go up there and look at the flash and get something you think is pretty or cute. Think it out. Watch Miami Ink or Ink'd to see what other ppl do. Why other ppl get the tattoos they get. A tattoo is a wonderful and expresive peice of art that you are stuck with FOREVER. Don't just jump into it. Get something tiat will mean something to you.

definitely don't get a tattoo until you are sure that you're sure that you're sure that you want whatever it is that you have decided on. some tips: don't get tribal (unless you are from a culture that has a history of tribal tattoos) don't get a butterfly or a fairy. don't get flash, go to a custom tattoo artist and have them design something for you.

The process shouldn't be "I want to get a tattoo, let me pick one out." It should be something more along the lines of "this is something important to me that I want FOREVER and i want to get a tattoo to make it permanent"
Pick a symbol unique to you. Can you imagine being in a situation where someone has the same cookie cutter tattoo as you? Be original!

Go from your heart something that represents u! I have an ankle braclet of flowers with butterflies, a sun-moon on my neck, a butterfly that has my daughters name in it, and a frog with my sons name. They all represent me in a way. Hope u find one u like. I came up with my own drawings. If u find something that u like any tattoo palor can do it for u and change whatever u like.

think of something meaningfully and symbolize it a picture so you will be happy with it forever
