Try www.kayak.com, I really like it. Keep in mind that probably it'll be hard to beat Aeroflot on price, although some airlines offer quite competitive fares from time to time (e.g., Finnair, Alitalia). If you want to avoid flying Aeroflot (some people do, I don't know why) and book a Delta ticket, make sure that you are not actually flying Aeroflot - it's a part of SkyTeam now.

Try using Yahoo! FareChase, they search dozens of websites for you, so you dont have to!!! It saves time and money.
You can also type 'flights from Russia to New York' on Yahoo Search, and fill the form that comes up.
