Yes. But that person has to want to change. If they don't, nothing you or anyone else can say or do will make them change. My sister has been on drugs for about that long. She lost everything, her kids, her house, and almost her life. Keep the faith, and don't give that person anything they can sell. Offer to pray with them. If that person stays in your house, make sure you have accountability of all your stuff. Don't take them anywhere either. Most of all, be careful. Drugs change people for the worse. You cannot believe everything they say. I'll pray for you.

Yes, if they seriously want to quit. They would mostly likely need to withdraw from the substance under medical supervision. After that they're going to need alot of support, counseling and therapy to stay clean. Many people have successfully done it. It's a tough road but many have come back from serious addiction.

i'm extremely joyful for you, oftentimes older addicts have greater fulfillment that youthful ones in the two getting and staying off. There looks to return a time oftentimes age 35-40 years while the concepts and physique are greater waiting to prefer to renounce and greater in all likelihood to be triumphant. This seems to be completely autonomous on any regimes of drugs used, and is in no way helped lots by using methadone. i became into conversing to a locum approximately addicts basically final week interior the well-being midsection. i became into at one time a reformatory scientific officer for 13 years, and he too had executed some penitentiary artwork. We the two agreed that the opportunities of fulfillment have been very low, that the final image became into bleak, and neither human beings had a very good be conscious to declare for methadone. in my view i think of prescribed heroin is greater helpful at a pinch. the main effective group I ever chanced on in terms of numbers getting off, became into in a youthful offenders enterprise the place they used no drugs in any respect, yet placed a collection of 8 addicts at the same time to help one yet another in a sealed unit for 2 months. I went over to a convention in Amsterdam and observed prisons there, a matching application with 20 addicts in a unit became into having fulfillment there too. i became into very disillusioned to pay attention recently that a collection of Scottish prisoners have been attempting to get funds out of the equipment by using suing the SPS for putting them by using chilly turkey. i understand its a shitty element to pass by using, yet as I say I even have considered it artwork a minimum of besides as something.
