Lots of possibilities.
Cheap jewelry, a tear inside the piercing or something got stuck in there and irritated the area, maybe you haven't cleaned your piercings in a while...
Get some antibiotics, change the jewelry to titanium or surgical stainless steel or 14k gold or better if need be and keep the piercings clean. Use sea salt soaks and dial soap with water to clean the area. Nothing else is really necessary (other products are harsh and tend to do more harm that good). This should clear up in 2ish weeks.

Any body piercing, until grown completely shut is still an open area. If you changed earrings at that time, it could have had some germs. Always clean your earrings in an antiseptic solution before putting them in your body. Are you sure it is an infection? You could have an allergy to the metal used in the earring. Try switching them, then when it's cleared up, try the suspected earring again. If it happens again, it could be the earring instead of an infection. (I used to manage a Claire's store)

Well, I am not getting on to you about this, but playing with it is not good for it if you have not washed your hands IMMEDIATELY before you touch it. Germs and things of that nature can be problematic. We tell all of the kids to get some hydrogen peroxide and pour some in the cap. Put it up to your earlobe and let your earlobe soak in it. It will clean out whatever is going on in there most likely. Do this 4x a day and it should be better after a few days. If not, go see a Dr

Your ear could have the two already been contaminated in the previous you place those jewelry and purely did not know so placed some spray or specific anti-an infection stuff on them to maintain them clean. yet you are going to be able to additionally be allergic to a steel called nickel - a solid steel utilized in maximum jewelries, yet not in costly ones and the earring used to pierce ears. So use an costly form of earring just to attempt (it would say on it 'nickel loose'). And it is so stressful to be allergic to nickel.

It is probably infected because it wasn't cleaned properly. Or from the dirt out of your hair.

Don't know why but use medicated Vaseline. It will disinfect without drying it up.
