Here we have lots of partying but there's something remarkable: the dolls we build that we burn at 11.59pm on December 31st. The dolls are filled with fireworks and blast at that time. The city gets filled with smoke and noise. It's pretty cool, specially in the coast. People from the coast has more elaborated techniques to build these dolls and it's a stronger tradition over there.
Something interesting: many people eat turkey on Christmas and on New Year's Eve. The same kind of dinner is prepared and families are mostly together at both dates.
