If you have been seeing someone and you think it might be done, but you are never actually told that, do you assume it is over? Do you ask? Do you bother about it at all if it was never going to be anything long term?

I guess if they have not called or showed any sign of caring about how you are feeling or what you are doing, then I will say it is over. Some don't like talking about it, so you will just have to assume it is over. Anyone who truly cares about you and wants to be with you forever, he/she will always let you know how they feel about a situation.
Just remember one thing though it is not on you, they have a lot of issues, that is why they have not gotten in contact with you.

If you really like the person you should ask,he/She may be thinking the same thing as you and wondering if you've decided to leave it - there's only 1 way to find out! on the other hand if you don't care that much for the person then just leave it!
