He overthrew the Communist Allende, just like Franco in Spain defeated the Communist "Spanish Republicans". For that, he has won the undying hatred of the Communists, Liberals and Neo-Cons.
We will continue to hear fictitious stories about people being tortured and killed. If he had been a Communist, the press would be telling us what a great leader he was, the president would be attending his funeral, and on and on, ad nauseam.
