I hope you have an extremely well-paying job to move to South Florida. We moved to Miami this summer, and can barely afford to live here. We didn't have a choice, but if you do, make sure you really want to live here. The cost of living is outrageous, and while the housing market is normalizing elsewhere in the country, it keeps going up here. You could probably afford to rent something, but if you want newish in a nice area, rent will start at $1200. Oh, and to live in those areas, your commute will totally suck. My husband works in downtown Miami, as it seems everyone does, and if he leaves the house at 5:45, it only takes him 30 minutes. If he's running a little late and gets off at 6:00, it's at least an hour. Coming home is always more than an hour. Then you have to deal with the rudeness. I've lived all over the place, and I can seriously say that Miami has the rudest drivers I have ever met. I'm sure there are good job opportunities here. Construction is booming, for now. Seriously think about why you want to live here, and if it would be worth it. We're out of her in 2 years, and the only thing I'll miss are the friends I have made.

Sure, I'm positive that companies like Walmart and McDonalds are always looking for high caliber fokes like yourself.
With all the online job boards, I can't believe anyone would even post a question like this.
