In 1943, north of Dawson Creek British Columbia it was reported that a Moose pushed an Army GMC 4x6 truck off a mountain side after being shot with a 45 caliber pistol because it would not make passage for the truck.

Factor in power of moose (similar to horse), loose road surface sliding circumstance,slant on road ,trail,or track. Also consider what little effect a 45 pistol bullet may may have if it hit the animal In a fatty area apart from making it very angry .

Theoretically speaking, of course, I doubt the moose was at it's top speed of 24 m.p.h. If this "story" is true, it is more likely that the moose, after a staring match, snuggled up on the vehicle then used it's massive frame to s-l-o-w-l-y push the vehicle out of it's path!
