I have a dvd player that has the surround sound speakers. It is hooked up so it only works if I play a dvd. Is there anyway I can hook it up so the sound from the tv goes thru the speakers as well? There is no receiver, but is an AUX feature. Let me know..Thanks

Your TV should have Receiver OUT function. If it does, you should connect RYW cable for TV OUT to DVD IN AND set your TV receiver to process sound that way. You'll not be able to use your TV volume controls / speaker though. Your DVD should be ON to process the sound. By the way, you may loose PIP function. If your TV does not have VIDEO/AUDIO Out, you are OUT of luck.

Usually those types don't have the proper connections.

The AUX may be an out terminal and not an in.

If it is an IN you will need the red/white stereo cables to go from your tv or cable box AUDIO OUT terminal to the AUX IN terminal.

Then through your tv remote set your tv settings to OUT or FIXED OUT or AUX or EXTERNAL .

there are alot of "ifs' to my answer
if you look on the back of your tv and have an audio output (red and white)
and you have an extra audio input on your a/v system you can connect those 2 using a set of those red/white/yellow cables

then select the source on your av system that matches where you just plugged it in (aux/ av1/av2)

Do you quite have a center speaker? Is it related good? in case you have not have been given a center speaker, then pass to the speaker setup menu and decide "none" for middle speaker. Then the middle channel would be sent to the important audio equipment.
