My brother has been going into my room and using my computer/copier without my permission.
Every now and again I'll go into my room and find him sitting at my computer typing a report,
whatever, the main problem is that he just doesnt ask, and has no respect for my property, like once, I found the paper tray empty, and the keyboard on the floor!
I really wouldn't have a problem if he just asked though, but i'm usually not home when he wants to use it (coincidence?).
I've password protected my computer wich is a slight deterent but now he's just making photocopies (computer independent) and leaving the paper tray empty or putting bad copies on the floor, or messing up my compulsivly orgainzed draws looking for a pencil or something.
long story short..
I think if I could get him to stop using the photocopier, he just might stay away.
any ideas on how tokeep him out,I know this is really petty, but it annoys me a lot!
hope you can help

Is there a way to disconnect the electric cord from the printer so that it is not able to be used. You could hide it somewhere else so that the only way that he can use it is to ask. Or hide the paper.
Have you talked to your parents about this. I think you have a valid point. NO ONE likes to feel violated or disrespected. They should back you up and make him behave himself. You don't sound like you are being unreasonable to me. GOOD LUCK.

Depending on your photocopier you can password protect that, a lock on the door when you are not home could be the answer but check with your parents first before putting a lock on your room. You could also reward your brother for staying out of your room by letting him have computer time when you are there with him so long as he stays out when you are not there.

Try locking your bedroom door. Or you can pretend the copier is broke. Put a out of order sign on it. Even better let him take the copier to his room, give him 1000 pages of blank paper so he can make all the copies he wants. Once he is bored of the copier take it back and he should be over his copier fascination.

Lol...sorry but I had to laugh because I thought your brother was trashing your room or reading your diary or something. If he's just using your computer/copy machine/printer without your permission...then that's a minor problem. Here are some solutions you can use:
* Talk to him and explain how you feel about him not asking permission
* If he keeps on going to your room without permission after talking to him, then you should get a locksmith and get a key for your bedroom door and keep it locked while you're gone.
* Have your parents or somebody buy him his own computer and copy machine/printer. Hey x-mas is coming...that can be his x-mas gift.

Ask your parents to put a lock on your door. That will be the only way to keep him out. Brothers can be so annoying. I have two younger brothers and they both are brats. Perhaps your parents can talk to little brother. He probably won't listen but it is worth a try. Otherwise, hide the paper so he
won't have any to use.

Since your brother loves to use your computer allow him to use it only when you are there. If he had one of his own perhaps he would not be using yours. Let him use it only if he puts everything back in place like he met it. It is important to learn how to share with him, but don't allow him to take advantage. Remember it belongs to you so set some rules. Allow him to use it when you are there. If he continues to use all of the paper you can charge him twenty five cents for every paper he uses. Let him know that everything cost money and he must take care of it. But don't stop him from using it.

you could talk to your parents about it....
you could go into his room when he's not there and mess with his things and see if he gets the point....
you could put a lock on your door...
or you could talk to him..."i don't mind you using my computer as long as you respect a couple rules....#1 don't leave a mess of paper for me to clean up #2 ask me if you want to use my things....etc"
good luck

OK hun, get a lock on you door, keep the key on you at all times, and if he wants/needs one while you are not home, gie your parents a copy of the key and they can let him in as long as they supervise him. That is what I would do.:)

Buy a hungry Grizzly Bear and poke it with a cattle prod to get it really angry. When you brother comes into your room, WHAM! no more brother problems.
