Most likely your bulb/lamp is running out and becoming dim. Bulbs/lamps can cost between $200 and $500 dollars before installation.

We take ours apart.....very very carefully once a year and clean
the lenses and mirrors and anything else dusty..with a soft cloth
You can have it professionally cleaned I heard its around 100.00
Its not hard to do yourself with two people....It helps our picture
We were told when we bought it that it should be cleaned at least once a year. Hope this helps Merry Christmas

If this is CRT projection TV than the CRT is growing weak, but if this is LCD or DLP the lamp is about to end.

I'm not sure what you have, but I had one once and the lamp may be burning out.
