I would go get a check-up & talk with your doctor.
He/she can turn you on to a good nutritionist, who could better advise you then folks here on Yahoo Answers.

I've been overweight and underweight, but not either in a big way. Underweight is better. The only drawbacks are lack of upper body strength, which can be remedied by doing pushups, and the lack of a natural cushion when you sit on a wooden chair. All things considered, being skinny is over 90% better.
