My employer asked me to no longer show my face on here because of potential clients seeing it. See, he (my boss) was obviously on here and saW my last pic and said I needed to take it off. Don't know why or how often he or whoever saw it is on here but is it fair for an employer to regulate wether or not you have your face on here?

I didn't even use my photo on answers, just my 360 page. I was using my avatar on here!

Should it matter to a client that an employee of a company you deal with is on yahoo answers?

Should I rebel?

What you do in your own time is your own business. Obviously, if you are slating your work then it's not doing you any favours, but your boss has no right to stop you coming on here if it's outside of work time and not using work equipment

You should be discrete and take your picture off. Although clients may be looking through the site, It's the company's reputation and to some extent yours that he is trying to protect.

well if its unfair for you to be on there then its unfair for your boss to be on there.
depends what your line of work is. if you used it in your own time it shouldnt be a problem but it is if you using it in works time on works computer.
if you want to be a rebel and it backfires then you could always bring ur bos down with you.

it's unfair - unless you are talking about work, or people at work

legally he can't ask you to do this. however - can he make your life difficult at work?

maybe get a new identidy on line?
