PAY OFF THE HOME WITH YOUR "STASH" (LET YOU ATTY PRESENT THE DEAL), TAKE CARE OF THE RESTRAINING ORDER...SHOW UP FOR THE COURT DATE, TAKE YOUR LICKS, THEN LEAVE A NEVER LOOK BACK. YOU HAD BEEN MARRIED FOR A LONG TIME, I THINK THAT IS THE LEAST YOU CAN DO, ESPECIALLY FOR YOUR CHILDREN. IF YOU DO NOT HEED MY ADVISE, YOU WILL BE USING ALL YOUR "STASH" FOR LEGAL FEES SITTING IN PRISON, THEN ALL YOU WILL HAVE TO DO IS LOOK BACK AND HAVE MANY REGRETS. PLEASE DO NOT BE A FOOL!

You're not running from this one. Make sure you have a good lawyer and do as you are told. She is entitled to half of everything regardless of whether or not she worked. That sounds unfair but, 1k a month for support on what you are making isn't that bad a deal. I would be very quiet about the stashed cash, don't even try to put it in an account and watch making big purchases. The one you have in the 401 (I have no idea what that is) but if there is any record she could get her hands on it as well. The houses can be sold and the mortgage paid off and the remainder split that would clear you of the mortgage payments, you must be careful though as she may nail you for a place to live since that is what she is used to. Divorce laws are meant to be fair, but if you don't get a lawyer as good as the one she has you may find yourself in trouble. Running will be the end of you.

The other thing you can do is to "give" the money to somebody else (someone you REALLY trust like a sibbling) so that it's under their name. The court won't be able to touch that money of yours under someone else's name. After the divorce decree has been finalized, you can have your designated "trustee" to "regift" the total amount back to you. Traditionally, that money is community property. She is entitled to half of the estate. I'm not too familiar with Florida family courts, but that's a way around this mess. It's dishonest, but frankly, I think your soon to be ex has it in for you. Are there kids involved?

i hate to breakit off in ya but.
depending on the state laws you are in she is entitled to half of your retirement half of your pension.
why are you not seeking a lawyer.
mine stopped her and i from selling anything that was joint.
they will tell you that she has worked as house wife and posibbly a stay at home mom.
your best bet is to see a very good lawyer.

I think that if you do that you might regret it later, because you might get thrown in jail for a little while and have to pay fines. And she still is going to get the money that's owed to her because the courts can have it taken out of your check without you having to give it to her.

THEY CAN ISSUE A BENCH WARRANT FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT. YOU WILL BE ARRESTED. THE BEST THING TO DO IS SETTLE. SHE WILL GET ABOUT HALF OF EVERYTHING. UNLESS SHE WAS CHEATING ON YOU. THEN YOU CAN LEAVE AT A MINIMUM. TAKE YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE BANK AND SAY YOU SQUANDERED IT GAMBLING AND PROSTITUTES. VERY HARD TO PROVE. THE MONEY SHE IS SPENDING CAN BE PART OF THE DIVORCE SETTLEMENT.

Do you want to run away for the rest of your life? Yes, your wife has worked indeed. It's harder to work inside the home than outside. It's time for you to be a man.

I've heard of non-extradition countries, but never a non-extradition state.. but with that much money you could buy yourself a nice place in some 3rd-world country..
