It really depends on their Mission President. They for sure could listen to Christmas music by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which to me is nearly unbearable, but they could likely listen to Christmas Music by other religious groups, at least I could. My favorite was 'A Rage Against the Machine Christmas'.

I didn't serve a mission, but was told that they could only listen to music composed before a certain date. I think it was something like the 1800's, but maybe I'm wrong. I do know that while in college some Elders came by the music library I worked at asking for a copy of Handle's Messiah. They said it was just about the only Christmas music they could listen to - but that was in 1992/1993.
Seeing some of the other answers I would guess it depends on the Mission President. Maybe traditional Christmas music would be ok. But not some of the more modern remakes, or Christmas music who's focus isn't Christ. You know, like Jingle Bells, or Santa-based lyrics.

Interesting question. I don't recall there being anything in the rules about braces, but it would probably not be feasible. Missionaries move around too often, so even without dental insurance being an issue, it wouldn't be possible to get regular care. I had a hard enough time just getting a cleaning. If you're planning to go on a mission, get the braces off first. Missionaries can get dental care on their preparation days, but it'd be too much hassle to be workable, I think.

It depends on the mission and the mission president. We were not allowed to listen to anything during my first year. My second year we could listen to instrumental hymns. I have seen the whole range all the way to anything that does not detract from the spirit, a decision that was left up to the missionaries.

Ask the missionary what the rules are in his/her mission.

in Hokkaido japan (2004-2006) we were allowed to listen to Mormon Tab. choir and other church (hymnbook) songs. But they sold some Christmas/other church music from the missionhome, and all apartments had Christmas music, but it really does depend on the mission president.
Merry Christmas :)

No. Only music by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is allowed. Any exceptions which there may be are not the rule.

I would think so...as long as it is "church" music...like the Tabernacle Choir, hymns, stuff like that.
