You can buy Spanish pimenton in Sainsburys (I you don't care about value for money) in the unusual food section. It is in little square red boxes. Or try the Spanish shop in the Borough Market at London Bridge.

They will be stocked in big supermarkets - especially Waitrose. But you will also be able to find them on Portobello Road in Garcia and Sons, at Borough Market and Exmouth Market in Brindisa. These shops sell authentic, good quality pimentos.

I believe you will find it either in the vegetable section or with the spices.

Pimento is one way to say "pimiento" or pepper in Spanish. So you could mean bell peppers, paprika, black or white pepper -pimienta in Spanish- as all are capsicum peppers.

An afterthought, allspice is sometimes also referred as pimento or pimienta, though it is a different plant.

Choose the pepper that suits your recipe.
