you refer to the saying that even when you look at a woman with lust you have commited adultery with her, and yes, this is true. You must look at women as if they are your sisters and mothers. Now don't take this wrong, but thoughts are the first things that stray before anything else, kind of like the domino effect. Thought, word, deed. So it is important to guard our thoughts. Read good books and stay away from suggestive material. I'm not really the one to give advice for I've fallen and wallowed many a time, but there's always hope for others. Guard your thoughts. Not just for lustful things, but greed, laziness, selfishness, gluttony, pride and envy. Sometimes I cannot take a walk in the neighborhood because everyone else's houses look so much better than mine....so we all suffer, you see. Keep your thoughts pure. Thoughts become ruts and habits. Focus on what is important, not what you want. Desires and needs are different. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, and also your Guardian Angel.

No... this does not mean you do not have The Holy Spirit. Remember, satan will throw thoughts your way but it becomes sin when you entertain that thought..he can only put thoughts there but he can't read your mind.

Read The Word, pray, and fasting is good. But the most effective is praying in tongues. He doesnt know what your saying and its a language that confuses him. Don't let him beat you up over this and everytime he reminds you of your past, remind him of his future in Revelation 20:10...Hope this helps. PEACE!!!

I also agree with twowords....you have some other serious issues of homosexuality and etc.., you need to get serious and make some definite decisions toward Christ and quit fooling yourself and trying to fool others...CAUSE YOUr NOT FOOLING GOD AT ALL.

Ummm yes that is sinful, but adultery is much worse than just lust. You may need to talk to a good Christian you can trust, or read a book on it, or the Bible. Pray about it. It doesn't mean you do not have the Holy Spirit. Just ask for its help. Hope that helps.

No it means you are not walking correctly with the Lord in your daily life. The way a Christian should live is in Romans 8:4 "...the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God."
The batlefield for the Christian is not life, it is the mind. If your mind is on the things of God you will not fall easily, but if you allow your mind to dwell on the things of the flesh, you have no control over falling. Probably the most powerful tool against sin is an early morning prayer time with God. We deal with life one day at a time, and each morning pray as Jesus instructed us to pray "lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil." That is a daily prayer.

No,

It means you are human.

With the help of Prayer and the Holy Spirit you can gain the strength to look at women not just as objects of lust.

It may not happen overnight, but it can happen!

Christians still make mistakes and still commit sin. Don't expect yourself to be perfect, but work to become stronger in your faith and your actions!

Peace!

Well, you are a man, and you are going to look. You're a human being. The problem is if you KEEP thinking about that woman you looked at. You know you're wrong if you think "I wouldn't mind doing (whatever) to her," And adultery is REALLY wrong! But you shouldn't try not looking, because you will. I'm a Christian and married, and I'm positive I'm not going to Hell because I looked at a woman. If I did anything in addition to look, maybe. Hope this helps.

The best way to rid yourself of evil thoughts and images is to fill yourself with holy thoughts and images. Replace your desktop picture with a cross and read the bible. Pray, go to a good church, get some good Christian men to talk with.

God Bless, I'll pray for you.

Oh by the way.

If you didn't have the holy spirit, you wouldn't be convicted about your lust. God is on your side.

Try screaming at the devil. Seriously, tell him to go away, recite scripture. I've done it. It works. He doesn't like it. :D

(I hope it is not outre for me to answer here, as I am not orthodox Christian but I agree with many tenets of the Christian faith.)

Rather than turning your face away and forcing yourself to focus on holy things, first examine your problem in full. Draw out in a diagram ALL the consequences of acting on this urge. Foresee the chaos and evil that will arise from your taking action. Then, once you have examined it in this way, examine yourself and your life. Determine whether your urge arises from a problem in your own relationships. Sometimes we blank out seemingly insurmountable problems that are VERY close to home and distract ourselves with lust or greed or gluttony, what have you. Face all your problems, not just the problem of lust. They all stem from something inside you that must be faced. Some might choose to label this as "Satan." First he must be seen for what he is, and then he must be cast out. That is when you bring in the holy thoughts and direct address of God; they stem from common sense at a deep level (many of them, anyway). Understand the problem, and then take steps to heal thyself.

- Looking upon a woman lustfully is a struggle for most men.

- Ask God to help you and try to be careful what you do, say, listen too, watch, and also be aware of the company you keep.

Your letting your old sinful nature rule you. Satan knows our weaknesses and he will pound on you till you give in..be strong! Don't let our enemy have the upper hand..Pray to God for the strength to overcome this temptation. Lay this burden at his feet and let it go. Love is a choice..so is lust. Do the right thing.
