Environment, social and peer expectations, primary role-models, media influence...

We're all sexual beings because of our physiology, but none of us is born either heterosexual or homosexual. The dominant paradigm is heterosexual orientation for reasons of survival and for ethical reasons derived from that natural dictate. Essentially, we are taught that certain things are desirable, and we generally respond to that teaching/modeling. Our identities conform to our expectations.

But about 1.8 % of time there is a breakdown, either on the environmental end or on the subjective processing end of the equation. This results in homosexuality, bisexuality or some other form of sexual identity disfunction.

Because whether we like to admit it or not we are just an animal. And our primary biological purpose is to breed and continue our bloodline and species this can only be done by coupling with the other sex...And that's it...
Anything else about love, and relationships, etc frankly is secondary and mostly created by our own doing...
