My brother did just this, but may I add he was already a very healthy person, he had just put on too much weight.

Okay so how, this is how he did it. First he jogged, I think three miles in the morning before work. He drank water throughout his day, had herbal teas as well. At dinner time he had a salad with chicken bits, no dressing and then before he retired for the night he weight lighted. He Said that made Him tried and able to go right to sleep. He lost 40 lbs in one month.

This is not for anyone who is not healthy!!!!!!!! Did I say Healthy~~ Please don't die trying to lose weight, what good will it be then?

Yes it's possible but only if you were morbidly obese. People who have 100+ pounds to lose can lose huge numbers in a months time. For you, it most likely wouldn't work. Not to mention that it would cause severe health problems like kidney stones, and it would lead to that gross saggy skin that can only be fixed with surgery. That is part of the reason why gastric bypass recipients have the saggy skin, because the weightloss is sooo fast. The amount of stretch your skin has, and how much it's been overstretched matter too.

No it is not possible. After you cut back so many calories your body metabolism just shuts down. Your first month, if you are really rigorous with keeping to about 1500 calories, you may drop 10 - 15 pounds. Go ahead and invest in Weight Watchers. They will help you a lot!! And remember that the 10 to 15 pounds is a full dress size!

pills..drugs...food..everyone misses the most important aspect..exercise...if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food...Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.

1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day

2.) drink lots of water

3.)exercise every day

4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep

You can lose 40 pounds in a month easy. Just:
1. eat HEALTHY ( I mean NO fats, lots of veggies/fruits, NO soda, drink ONLY water and lots of it, eat lots of fiber..you get the picture :)
2. exercise a lot! Go to the gym at least 6 days a week if not EVERY day! Take a spinning class (you'll lose about 3 pounds in one class), go on the treadmill, walk on an incline if you can't run
That's the only way you can do it. But, you have to be strict about it. That means NO cheating and eating candy even if it's just once.
You can get some diet pills, too, if you want. They curb your appetite but sometimes make you feel shaky.
Also, coffee makes you lose your appetite..but it also makes you crash if you drink too much..causing you to be sleepy.

It is probably impossible to lose 40lbs in one month at your current weight even if you starved yourself - that much just wouldn't come off. It may be possible to lose 20 in a month at your weight if you work really hard. Try for something realistic-that way you won't get discouraged when you don't lose it all just to gain it back...

It's not. However, it is very unsafe! And why would a 180 pound person need to lose 40 pounds??

I think that it is highly improbable! The only way would be to get weight loss surgery or go on a complete fast!
