There is no doubt that Elvis is a top class defender. He would be a good organiser at the back for us, but Fudgie, he's 33 years old and Rangers need someone who is going to be at Ibrox more than two or maybe three years. Like PLG, we are going to have to take a longer term view, if we are to get to where we want to be. Elvis would a very short term option.

We want to shut the Celtic fans up by winning the ten-in-a-row and the Champions League – that has to be our principal aim, and that is not going to happen overnight. We need to get behind PLG and support the team through the bad times as well as the good. We need to give him the time to build the team that is going to do that. Steven Pressley, for all his admirable attributes, is not really anything more than a short term option, and I also think it is often a bad idea to go back to a former club. Jim Baxter did that, and he wasn't half the player he was before he went to Sunderland.

I heard tonight he was attracting interest from Celtic. Personally, being a former Ranger, I don't think Elvis would do that to us or for the matter inflict that indignity on himself. I think he will maybe go south to Southampton and work for George Burley.

I specifically persist with EPL, yet I do shop up with the suitable SPL headlines...this is a shame what this Romanov fella is doing to Hearts. incredibly, he's ruling the teamw ith an iron fist, and it form of feels he's likewise interfering in team determination concerns. Pressley appears like he's the middle of the gang (alongside with Gordon and Hartley)...he desires to be in the Hearts commencing XI. i don't see Pressley leaving or desirous to go away Hearts, so the two Romanov has to renounce meddling or he has to decide for the sake of Hearts.

At age 33 he will probably be looking for a bit of money and security. So to whoever offers the best contract but I do think he will stay in Scotland. He wont want to uproot his family to England but I would be very surprised if PLG signs him of his own freewill. I just dont think he is PLG's kind of player but maybe external pressures will bring him back to Ibrox. I can understand where you are coming from but I would prefer to persevere with PLG's thinking until the summer at least and if at that time he decides we need a stopper let him go and buy the one he wants.

I think we will stay in Scotland.
Being an ex Broxie I don't think he will go back there. It will be either Celtic (if he is brave enough to cross the great divide) or Dundee United, depending on who will offer him the longer deal or better money.
It just sad the way that things ended for him at Hearts.
Next players available will probably be Hartley and Gordon another two players who spoke out against Romanov.

I don't think he will end up at Ibrox, or Celtic Park for that matter. I cannot see either club looking to the short term. That is all Stephen would be(much as i think he was a credit to Hearts). I think he will end up at one of the other SPL clubs(not Hibs).

Ten in a row!!! In your dreams colliedug.!! Hail Hail!!

It would appear Celtic ! It appears the trend is win trophies at Rangers then go to a club that is insignificant, only to be a turncoat and join Celtic ! Another insignificant club ! lol No former Rangers player with the club at heart would ever appear in the hoops unless it was down to being a money grabber !! Miller for example !!!!

Probably Dundee Utd, his wife is due to give birth this week so I can't see him wanting to uproot his family. Plus I'm sure he'll take on some sort of coaching role there, which would never be offered at the wee teams, rangers and celtic.
