Ignore anyone who says "OMG IT HURTS SO BAD!!!!"
It all depends on how much YOU can take.
I have 9, and they all hurt like hell, but you stick it out and let the pain fade away after your skin becomes numb and used to it.
There are some parts of your body where you will say "holy **** this hurts so bad..." and others, "oh this isnt so bad.."

On my back I have a sun, and let me tell you.. in the middle of your back the nerves jump like crazy. Also on my shoulder and down my arm I have tons of stars. The worst parts of the tattoo is around the neck area, chest, rib cage, ankle. There's more but I hope you get the idea.

To me, the shading of any tattoo is the worst. They dig so hard :(

But have no fear, it will look wonderful after it is healed. If you like the look of your tattoo and tattoo's in general, the pain will be worth it.

The pain depends on the area that you are getting and how much tolerance you have for pain. I had 3 children and was scared to death to get a tattoo, because other people had me believing the pain was so bad. I got my first tattoo about 2 years ago, on the lower left side of my back, there were some moments when I kinda clinched up but for the most part....it was easy. I then got one on my upper left shoulder-back area.....there was no pain what so ever up there. I also have one on my upper arm....not much pain at all. I was so scared for so long, and there was no need to be. Now....remember, every person is different as well as the area that you are getting the tattoo.

Honestly it all depends on the person and where they get the tattoo. I got mine on my shoulder and it hurt but it was nothing to die over. I think the worst part was when he got around to the pointy part of my shoulder blade. My brother does tattoos and I've seen plenty of people who take it like a true soldier and don't squirm or flentch and I've seen others who freak out. After you get it it just feels a little funny. Generally it itches because a scab forms to heal the tear in the skin. My brother has like 10 tattoos and seems to like the feeling. I think the best thing to do is to not think about while you're getting it done. Focus on something else. I watched TV the whole time. I've often heard and witnessed that the worst places to get it are places with only muscle or cartilage are, like you stomach, butt, or ear and of course the neck or the face. Just make sure that that's what you want to do because you will be stuck with it for life. Most tattoo artists don't like to deal with people that freak out while getting it done. With a lot of them if you move too much or scream to much they will keep your money and stop the process. So be sure that it's what you want to do so you get your money's worth.

Yes, getting a tattoo hurts. How sore it's relies completely on wherein you get it. But it is hardly ever so sore you cannot get it completed. I've received a band round my higher arm. The outer facet of the arm is a little sore however the within, wherein there is much less muscle and extra gentle flesh, the tattooist needed to press tougher so it harm extra. My exwife has a solar and moon layout round her stomach button. That, consistent with her, used to be probably the most painful factor she's had performed. Soft facet of the frame, lot of strain. Other locations that harm. Anywhere wherein epidermis covers practically bone. So whatever at the shin goes to nip, for instance. Feet are highly touchy, chiefly at the sole, and even as getting tats anyplace else will harm, tattooing at the ft will harm LOTS. If you wish whatever performed to your again, it is approximately the pleasant position to do it in the event you are not eager on discomfort. It will nonetheless harm at the gentle bits, however you may have fewer nerve endings to your again than every other facet of your frame so it hurts a little much less. And in the event you do get a tattoo, do not do it with a hangover. My first one, I'd been consuming till 3 within the morning at the night time earlier than. Six hours sleep, most often nonetheless a little inebriated, sitting within the tattooists chair getting whiter and whiter till I needed to bolt for the bathroom and boak. (Boak, a Scots phrase for throwing up) A little discomfort feels worse while you've received a hangover.... And do not get them anyplace you cannot duvet them, except you wish to turn out to be doing a handbook task. If you wish whatever proffesional for your lifestyles (accountant, legal professional, stockbroker, that style of factor) a tattoo isn't going to be the pleasant factor you wish to exhibit at your interview. People make decisions at the style of man or woman who will get tattoos. Nine occasions out of ten that judgement is fallacious, but if you are looking to get a brand new task the ones are the type of odds you don't want.

It really depends on where you place to tattoo. I have four: lower back, back of ribs, side of ribs, and front of shoulder. The front of the shoulder did not hurt at all. I don't think the back of the shoulder is a sensitive place so you should be fine. Just to test, take a needle and drag it across your skin. To me a tattoo is just this aggravating feeling that you can't stop. Hope this helps.

I have a tattoo around my wrist and it didn't hurt at all but then again I have a high pain tolerance. It felt like one of those shock pens but a little less intense. The only thing I couldn't stand was that for about 24 hours after it felt like a sunburn then it just started itching like crazy but it didn't really hurt.

It does not hurt that bad, Child Birth is Worse !! You can deal with a little pain , it's gonna be worth it , when you have that pretty angel on your shoulder ! .. It stings a Bit , But after 2-3 mins the area gets Numb. People make it sound worse than it really is !

It all depends on the person. Every individual deals with pain differently. For me, it feels like getting a series of bee stings - but eventually, my body adjusts and it doesn't really hurt anymore. Some people don't think it hurts at all, some think it hurts alot.

It also depends on how much you want it, so for me, the pain was worth it.

Pain is relative, i used to think I was pretty much a wus when it came to pain, but I got a tattoo on my lower back, and it wasn't bad. The few days following hurt worse, but it was worth it.
