Go to www.homedialysis.org they have a searchable data base of home hemo dialysis providers. I know that here in my town a man on a ventalator lived on home hemo dialysis for at least three years, it could have been longer (I first heard about him after he had been home for some amount of time).
It will be important to be supported by a nephrologist (kidney doctor) who is keen on home hemodiaysis. When you find a unit that provides training ask them which local doctors are most pro home hemodialysis.

He maybe too much for her,the best I can said is Range of Motion and to keep him off the sore the best she can and clean it with water. Plus ask your doctor what you can use on those bed sore. It will help out a lot.
