i dont think its just a myth.. bcoz recently satellites revealed pictures of an underwater bridge made of stones( im not sure.. but i think they called it the adam's bridge) between india n srilanka.. i think this was the one which lord hanuman built for lord rama n all the vanarsena to get to ravan's lanka..

I think Ramayana is not only historical event but it's also purly mythological.No doubt Lord Ram actually walked on earth. Indians still feeling existence of Lord Ram all around for their guidance through "RAMCARITRA".

ramayan is good piece of literature// depicting the qualities which an idal man should have// so people started thinkin ram as a god and with time their faith increased in the epic with the help of priests. even Frodo from lord of the rings could be as much as rama// he was just a heroic character in an fabulous epic // but the pandits priestsand the publicity made us belive that it was real //
so it is fiction and mind u a real good piece of thinking power of human mind.which has affected many lives

isn't there proof that there was man named ram born in 5114 BC or something like that? he was a person, like jesus was a person, it's upto to whoever wants to believe they were divine
