Live life by the day and learn to love. Don't expect much from people around you. Forgiving also goes a long way in mending past hurts.

If you are that scared you should not try to be in a relationship until you feel comfortable about being with someone. The next thing you can do is pray on it and allow god to guide you in your relationship. God said "I have not give you the spirit of fear" remember that and say it every time you get scared to do anything.

Dear John, relax!! Relationships are not scary, they are exciting, then they are comfortable and then they are hard work! Don't leap into anything too fast and build friendships first and have a basis so you have interests you can share when the sex slows down!
