It will be a very sad day when that bill is passed. There should be no amnesty what so ever. We in the border states are hurting enough with the costs put on them with illegal aliens.

"Given the passion over immigration, I don't see an easy path to pass an amnesty bill," said Kurt Bardella, a spokesman for Rep. Brain Bilbray, R-Escondido, who made border security a centerpiece of his congressional re-election .

"We know there's a huge constituency of people who feel that the immigration that we're getting into the United States is too much," Hall said

Anti-illegal immigration groups were quick to point out that many of the newly elected Democrats ran on platforms that included border security and sanctions against employers who hire illegal immigrants.

"Many of the freshman Democrats are arriving in Washington with a message from the voters back home that controlling the borders and cracking down on employers who undercut the middle class by hiring illegal aliens is a top priority," said Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

I agree with the statements above.Amnesty should not be an option.

I agree with those stating it will not be an easy pass, even though it is a Democratic Congress. Those democrats know they got those spots because the republicans that previously held those spots weren't representing their voters, but the interests of their party views only. Democrats aren't thinking that they got in simply on their views (speak to any Dem party worker, and they will tell you that very same thing). The democrats want to keep those spots, and they will listen to what the people they represent have to say about the issue.

I think it is whoever screams the loudest - for or against amnesty - will get the votes. So if you are against, start screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes, common sense just can't win in the face of liberals who have lived their whole lives as spoled brats in a pefectly safe, wealthy and wonderful world and who think that life is all lovey-dovey.

As a result, the following is inevitable: legalized illegal immigration, gay marriage, and no more fighting terrorists lest we get hurt.
