I consider cheating to be any intimate act (talking dirty, sexual activities, ect...) done by someone who is in a relationship, to a person outside of said relationship.
Also, if you do something that you wouldn't tell your partner/spouse, then what you did is morally wrong and you already know that (hence the reason you wouldn't tell them).

you may not have physically done anything wrong, but a simple infatuation is emotionally cheating, and it can hurt almost more than if they physically cheated.
im speaking from experience. my girlfriend of two years i could tell right away she had a thing for this guy, but i knew they had never done anything because he lived so far away. but still i knew, she constantly blew me off, and practically anolled this guy into sainthood, basically i was a second rate man to her. rather than tackling the problem right away i let it sit inside me like a time bomb that finally went off as i was about to lose my mind. when i called her out on it, she lost it and broke up with me (when i mean lost it she blew up).

Lusting after another woman is cheating, looking at another woman will thoughts of sex, or sexual thoughts it cheating. Period.
