There are several things you can do, buy a solid ligth pink comforter, and some cushions ligth pink & ligth green and do the same for courtains , and live the room painted white.. you can go to the dollar store and buy some picture frames and either get colored printable pages from DISNEY.com and palced them in the frames to decorate the room with several princess from disney even princess FIONA & SHRIEK that way she will have a little bit of something and it will look nice and she will like it... also you can buy stickers for the wall from princess like crowns casttles and some flowers, this you can find them at LOWE"S, HOME DEPOT, K-MART, TARGET to look much better!!!! GOOD LUCK and best wishes with the decoration hope she like what ever you decide to do !!!

I have a 8 year old daughter and I was working on a budget. I found some pink border and I put it in the middle of the wall instead of up high. I found a princess theme (pillow, throw pillow comforter, lamp, and towel set) for about 150 total @ Family Dollar.I also bought the mini canopy that hangs above the bed and she really loves that. I went on line and printed the Disney Princesses out in color, trimmed them and glued them to bright copying or construction paper and framed them in purple and yellow frames.

Just look for princess theme items while you're out and you are bound to find something

Paint the wall with the window to look like a castle wall, so she can pretend to be looking out the castle window. Do the other walls a pale pink or purple and pick up some decorations. You can also find great princess ideas at familyfun.com

Every little girl needs a princess 'canopy' at the head of her bed....you can buy them as a ring with the netting already attached, and then just dress it up with pink ribbons...
The other thing I think would be suitable in a princess themed room is her own vanity with a pink or purple seated stool.

You want to paint it something she can live with for awhile so paint it pink or purple and then you can by those wall decal's to put around the room this way if she wakes up in a year and doesn't like the princess theme anymore you can just take down the decal's.

There are some wonderful materials in the Disney Princesses series. Be sure to include several of the nicer dolls in bell jars (or perhaps unbreakable Plexiglas cases), which will become heirlooms that increase in value. And of course, you can center it on Princess Jasmine while including the others.

As she grows older and says this stuff is "corny," be sure to put the sheets and curtains and pictures and so on away safely, as they will also become valued family heirlooms. Even if they are tattered, they will inspire a nostalgia for childhood when she is an adult. Maybe inspire her daughter. Maybe her granddaughter.

This, of course, is why it is so important to chose designs which are consistent with your child-rearing beliefs and moral values. I shudder to think who is buying the Bratz, don't you?
