I went to an informational AFLAC meeting today, and the agent said there are specific underwriting questions that will be asked before a person could be considered eligible for a short-term disability policy. Does anyone have those questions?

I'm guessing that they will exclude anyone with previous cancers or heart attacks, but I assume that they will ask other things too...

One thing that will knock you out that does not seem right is arthritis. My wife has arthritis and they would not insure her. Other things are high blood pressure and diabetes.

I have the Aflac policy that covers maternity leave. My question is...if I have to go on disability prior to my child's birth, will Aflac pay for the 1 or 2 weeks prior to delivery.
